Family,
Joy to the World!!!...only one week away until another Christmas that we will all be together as a family to celebrate the joyous holiday of Christmas; and we are blessed to have a couple additions to this year’s festivities - Stephanie, Max and Katie. Well...let’s recap some events that have taken place since we last met during Christmas ’08 and give out some awards.
Congratulations Ryan!! You successfully got married, had a baby, renovated your home and managed and moved a business all by yourself. You receive the Hardest Worker Award for 2009. We all truly aspire to be more like you.
Congratulations Joel!! You successfully kept yourself from jumping off the balcony of our 26th floor condo. Joel has been through a lot this year and I am sure everyone has heard all about it; please make it a point to bring a ray of sunshine into Joel’s life during these two weeks…2010 will be a much better year. You receive the Survival Award for 2009.
Congratulations Erica and Nick!! You successfully finished painting the interior of your house after 8 months and completely redesigned the landscaping of your home. Unfortunately at the same time, enslaved your parents and siblings for 5 days and somehow managed to get Joel poison ivy while he was sitting on the couch and grilling on the deck. You two receive the Determination Award for 2009.
Congratulations to Elizabeth! You successfully (we think) are one semester away from your two-year degree. You also performed excellent as a server at a new restaurant in Uptown Charlotte and did a great job (we think) breaking up with your boyfriend. You receive the Most Diligent Award for 2009.
Congratulations to Brad!! You and Lisa are successfully completing your Business Degree at Flagler University - only one short semester away. You have also done a tremendous job remodeling your home and have played a most gracious host to your siblings when they have visited throughout the year. You receive the Best Host Award for 2009.
Congratulations to Jessica!! You have successfully become a new mother to Nahla and have done a tremendous job training her - maybe Eric and Nick can take some notes during this trip. Also, great job with the memorization of several Biblical passages for the competition you had entered. But most importantly, thank you for setting up this Blog for the family, great idea and great work. You receive the Most Innovative Award for 2009.
Congratulations to Christian!! You have successfully been the best big brother any sibling could ask for. You receive the Best Sibling Award.
Congratulations Mom and Dad, you have successfully raised angels for kids!!!
*please note, Stephanie, Max and Katie will be added to next year’s Award Ceremony

This is what Bank Employees do on while they are at work. Congratulations on finally paying back all of the TARP money that US Citizens had to loan you because you dont know how to run a business. You get the "I work for a company that can't run itself and then pays employees with taxpayer money, while small private business struggle to keep doors open and food on the table award." Go big banks.
